The University of Lethbridge Archives houses University archives and collections related to teaching, research, and public service since 1967. More specifically, it contains private papers, audiovisual archives, Board of Governors collections and records of the General Faculties Council, encompassing themes in education, nursing, management and arts and science. The University of Lethbridge is located on traditional Blackfoot territory.  In 1975, a department of Native American Studies was formed and since then, faculties and units across campus have undertaken programs and initiatives to support Blackfoot and First Nations Métis and Inuit (FNMI) peoples including degrees in Aboriginal health, Native American art and a First Nations’ Transition program.

The University of Lethbridge Archives include collections from the Faculty of Nursing (1980- ), housing committee minutes, correspondence and documents related to the history of the department. The Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts and Science are the two oldest faculties that were established since the University’s inception in 1967. Records (1967- ) include departmental minutes, records of the faculty councils, executive committees, planning, curriculum, and dean records.

There are also various digital collections including the First Generation Oral History Project, which includes interviews with faculty, staff, administrators and students who shaped the early years of the University’s history. The Archives Digitized Collection contains digitized campus newspapers (1967- ), including the Forum and Campus Reporter.
