The History of Medicine Museum in Paris is located on the second floor of the Paris Descartes University. The museum is one of the oldest of its type in Europe. The core of its collection consists of Western and Egyptian surgical, diagnostic, and physiological instruments, as well as 800 doctors’ and surgeons’ bookplates and over 1,600 paintings, engravings, and lithographs which date back centuries. The museum is open to the public and offers guided tours.
