In addition to presenting the history of the foundation of Montreal, the museum presents the story of the founding of the Hôtel-Dieu by Jeanne Mance, Canada’s first lay nurse, as well as the history of the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph, and an overview of the evolution of health care and medicine.
