The Archives of the Jesuits in Canada houses archives related to Jesuits in English and French Canada. The Archive houses 1.5 linear kilometres of Jesuit institutional records and private collections.  The majority of holdings date in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, although some documents are from earlier periods.

The collection Les cahiers de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec” has records of this teaching hospital in Québec. There are a few documents related to Canadian health care in this archive such as those of the Catholic Hospital of Canada and Insurance (1943), in the collection of Émile Bouvier (1906-1985). There are some records related to hospitals and medical services in Québec, such as records of the Comité des hôpitaux du Québec (1986) and Association des hôpitaux catholiques de la province de Québec (1963). Medical topics are also found in private collections, such as information about leprosy in the fonds of Lajat, Félix M. (Félix Marie), 1870-1942.

This archive has important electronic exhibits and records online. The Paulin List, which is a catalogue of biographical information on Jesuits who were part of the society, offers information about birth, ordination, death, and burial of 1,906 Jesuit individuals.

The catalogue shows materials that are in the library and archive. It is necessary to contact the archive to verify what collections are available.
