The museum of the Georg-August University medical centre in Göttingen specializes in the history of obstetrics and gynecology in the 18th and 19th centuries. Highlights include the Blumenbach skull collection, he Blechschmidt human embryology collection, a collection on the history of perinatal medicine, the Gottingen collection of medical moulages, and the Heinz Kirchoff collection on symbols of the feminine. The museum also holds other bone specimens as well as medical instruments.
