The History of Medicine and Medical Humanities Bootcamp

Join us this summer for an exciting one week post-MF-4 elective!

We will be exploring:

  • The History of Medicine with hands-on use of objects, texts, and interviews to know our past
  • Graphics Medicine, a new genre that expresses narratives of patients, physicians, and caregivers through image and text
  • Medical Anthropology and how to interview, understand illness narratives, and non-Western medical traditions
  • Art and Medicine with art as expression and art analysis to build clinical skills
  • Theatre and Medicine to build empathy and professionalism
  • Film to understand patients and ourselves
