The McMaster Anatomical Specimen Library consists of over 3500 objects, including professionally dissected specimens, models, plastinates (plastinated human materials), acrylic block specimens,jar specimens, charts, and a multimedia collection. Both the library, as well as the online portal, are accessible to McMaster students from any faculty or department, but advance permission is required and may be obtained by contacting anatprg@mcmaster.ca.
Dr. Bruce Wainman, professor of Pathology and Molecular Medicine, teaches interprofessional education (IPE) courses with a focus on cadaver dissection, which are open to MD, nurse, OT, PT, and midwifery students.
