Thode Library of Science and Engineering contains books and journals on all aspects of science. It has a strong collection of scientific journals, with many starting in the 19th century. The library contains books on health and the history of medical fields, under call numbers R-RZ. For example, books on public health, sanitation, and the public aspects of medicine would be classified under call number RA.
The library website also contains subject and research guides, with source information detailing specific databases and books available to the McMaster community. For example, the guide to Biomedical Engineering includes information and tutorials about patents.
