Algoma University is the official repository for the Anglican Diocese of Algoma Archives. The university received the first deposit of over 30 linear metres of archival materials in May 2009 from the Diocese; more accruals are expected. The diocesan archives cover over 150 years of the documentary history of Northeastern Ontario from Mattawa in the east to Thunder Bay in the west.
