Hannah Chair Ellen Amster becomes McMaster University’s Global Ambassador to Morocco
In January of 2025, Dr. Amster was selected to represent McMaster University in a mission organized by the Canadian embassy in Morocco, to connect Canadian and Moroccan Universities.
Here are a few photos from the mission, from Mohammed VI Polytechnique University in Ben Ghrir (left) and from Mohammed V University in Rabat, the oldest “modern” university in Morocco (center), though Morocco is also the location of the first university in the world, the Qarawiyyin University, founded in the city of Fez by a woman, Fatima (right):
